Things You Should Know: 101R Class Blog: Plants of Pacific Northwest

About the Blog

It's a good thing to be the director of your own Continuing Education. Throughout the Spring term, students in Clark College's English 101, section R will make bi-monthly postings here on a topic of their own choosing. Each student will select a topic that he/she finds interesting, and will learn something new about it and post their findings and thoughts every two weeks. Students will read the blog weekly to see what their peers are up to, and give themselves and each other an education in whatever it is they think is worth checking out. Let's see what there is to think about.

Plants of Pacific Northwest

I enjoy exploring outdoors and chose to blog about plants that we may come across while walking, hiking or just messing around in the yard.

Here is an example of one of the cool flowers I spotted while hiking at Multnomah Falls. They can be found in a variety of colors. I think the white and purple trillium is my favorite flower next to roses. According to my handy dandy plant guide you can also find them in Mt. Hood National Forest for anyone with some free time for plant watching!
